Needs more coupe, but otherwise not bad.

That's because it's based on the better looking version of the Civic sedan that the rest of the world gets.

My wife is seriously considering the Sedan Si... I'm trying very hard to help her get over her Honda prejudice.

#8, It's a good car, but damn, the American Civic sedan is soooo ugly :(

#9, I disagree, I think it's super modern and really works, too. Something different among all the other bland-mobiles. $21,500 for a base model is just too good to be true for 200HP, 8000RPM, 6 speeds, LSD, power windows, 7 speaker 300 watt sound system and recaros (knock-offs?). Plus it's practical enough to carry friends and family around in, what with four doors and a useable trunk, and IMO it's better looking then the coupe.

Differing opinions then... I happen to think the Civic coupe is damn nice looking :P

But hey, if you like the looks, it fits the bill excellently for what your wife needs a vehicle for, and it fits in your budget, go for it :D

#11, I want to! We'll see. There will be much gloating/pic posting if it ever goes down.

#14, I always had cars with a very nice amount of torque, especially the Torino duh, so it's kind of really important to me. The 850 is fine with 168hp/163lb-ft.

#15, It's imporatant to me, too, but unfortunately the kind of cars I'm into just don't make a lot of it. Whenever I feel like experiencing some torque, I borrow my father-in-laws BB '72 C100.

Never had a problem with torque with the Mirage actually... it's rated at 92hp/93lb-ft... so I notice the lack of horsepower before the lack of torque :P
