GM and Ford have made so many dumb moves in the past few years I'm amazed that they're not in alot more trouble. But GM is turning it around, Ford just seems to be barely hanging on.

#23, They fucked up the new SUVs with shit taillights, and made the Mariner ugly in the process. Also, I don't know if the new Explorer/Expedition share this problem, but Lincoln has somehow made all thier guage clusters look like 1980s renditions of 1958 styling cues. Although, GM is doing better. I do have to argue they share a parts bin way too much, though. Why have the same steering wheel in a C6 that you would find in a Cobalt though.

My solution for Mercury that I've been rattling on about for a while now...

Make it what Merkur SHOULD HAVE BEEN... BRING foreign-market Fords over here! And not just the base-model crap with weak engines, bring us the Fiesta ST, the SportKa, the Galaxy/S-Max!... hell, if the Ford division wants to keep the dated old cheap Focus, fine, give Mercury the NEWER Focus that the rest of the world gets...

...and let's not forget Australia! Fairlane. Falcon. Ute.

...and this time fucking ADVERTISE THEM! Educate the dealers properly on how to target and sell the vehicles! It could go so right... but knowing Ford, even with my plan they could fuck it up so badly.

I like the new flagship Lincoln sedan, which manages to be 40 hp down on the Infiniti G35. Bold move, Ford--ensure that even your top-of-the-line sedan is completely outgunned by any and all of its prospective competitors, then put some avant-garde frontend treatment on the thing that makes the whole thing resemble a shaving razor.

#26, cheers, man. Cheers. GM is going all RWD soon (so they say) so why can't Ford. Honestly. My mom loves the Focus CC. She hates the USDM Focus. Also, why can't Ford bring us vehicles that get good gas mileage? How come we get the versions of cars that get 32 mpg when euro gets the same car with less features that is able to get 45 mpg. I don't understand.

#27, HAHAHAHA. Also, what the fuck is up with Lincoln suddenly becoming alphabetical. What's next the 2008 AKX and NKX. Oops. I shouldn't have said that.

Is it true that in Canada you can legally import ANY car that is 15 or more years old?

Why can't America be that cool?

Well, the Lincoln lettering makes pseudo-sense... they all start with MK, as in "Mark"... beyond that though, they got their head up their ass in the marketing department... I LIKED the name "Zephyr"

#35, so did I. I was like "wtf car's only 6 months old, why change it"? Oh, and I don't know if you know this, DiRF, but the Town Car is supposedly Lincoln's last RWD car ever.

#32, because socialism is wrong DiRF. Socialized Medicin made me gay. I shall for ever burn in hell in my Nissan Skyline.

You gotta do a few thing but it's pretty much open season. I have posted the rules before. Even in blandsville aka Ottawa there are at least 2 R32's running around. It's probably easier to import a skyline that is 15 years old than an american car that is about 5 years old or so. I'd probably have to claim an evo VIII as a lancer rally art and get my friend to risk his mechanics licence to say it is a rally art and it is federalized (DRL, metric instruments, etc).....come to think of it he can't even do federalization. Bribe time!

#37, so, if I go to Canada over summer, I can import a damn car and bring it back?

#38, and never drive it on an american road

you can import it, but not for road use.

We can import it for raod use. But if caught in a web of lies the car either has to get the fuck out or be destroyed. Diplomats can bring cars, hence the Berlingo running around ottawa.
