Description:
Grey Olds Cutlass with wire wheel hubcaps, whitewalls, and maroon interior. Does it get any more "Granny Car" than this? Extra points if you can tell me what the bungee cord connected to the license plate is for. |

I know a girl that drives an Olds that looks almost just like this. Her dad gave it to her, and she HATES it. |

#5, I wouldn't mind one. Sure it's an old person's car and about exciting as a lecture on lard, but these last forever. |

#11, Okay, maybe that wasn't fair. There are some Accords I would drive, too. Particularly the older ones (CB7 era and back). |

is the bungee to hold the license plate on?
or to hold the heater core cord off the ground, or do hold the bumper up? |

The bungee cord has a very important function.
On many a tiring day, as the car's driver returns from another "down day" at the Four Pines Bingo Parlor ("The numbers were all up today, but my card was all down"), she can walk up to the front of the Olds, then with a tragically bony finger, she can pluck the bungee cord, listening to it vibrate, resonating like the single guitar of despair.
After that, she'll cruise out of the parking lot, and forget about the worries of the day by pointing the Cutlass towards Sam's Club, where she'll get decadent and blow her Social Security check on bulk quatities of Chef's Blend and Polident.
Am I right? |
