I'll give him credit for a clean look and rather amazing numbers from a 3000 pound car. But in all honesty, who cares?

#3, Sure it's clean and fast and definitely cool, but there's nothing interesting about it either.

Sure, nothing interesting....apart from being clean, cool, and having 1,000 horsepower. What the hell do you expect?

It's perfect. The only thing I might do is repaint it....these early Novas look cooler in dark colors.

Mellow yellow:

It's meh, it's low, and it's yellow.

#11, I didn't notice that before, but you're right. The rocker panel is pretty wavy, and the widening at the rear of the wheel well is pretty bad, too.

I'd still sport it, though.

#10, To be perfectly honest, save for a handful of examples, I have become pretty-much desensitized to American cars from '62-'72... and you can thank the Barrett Jackson auctions for that...

...also the reason I'm particularly "meh" on 1st-gen Thunderbirds, too.

#13, You know which T-Bird has really grown on me lately? The '64s. Haven't a clue why.

#13, I've only become desensitized to the most obvious examples....1st gen Thunderbirds, 1963-1972 Corvettes, Tri-Five Chevys, and pretty much all billet-and-monochrome hot rods.

#15, At the last car show I attended, I took a bunch of pictures of an unrestored '55 Bel Air convertible with sun-baked faded red and cream paint, stock everything, and 1960s-era black plates. There was a nicely restored '55 in the same color combo, also stock everything, and I walked right past it. Only one other Tri-Five earned a photo that day. Almost all the others were red, blue, or black with a white rear accent, rolling on Torq Thrust IIs or a Foose/Intro/whatever 17-18" 5-spoke design. First-gen T-Birds, C2 and C3 Vettes still interest me if they're really nice. It seemed like most of the cars I cared enough about to photograph were 1960s-70s station wagons and sedans. o.o
