So its a boxer V12? Strange. Is it a heavily modified F40? Looks a lot like one. |

I hate to sound stupid, but why would a boxer 12 be impossible or unreliable? Porsche has been building boxer 4's and 6's for years; what problems would be inherent in doubling that? |

V12s are usually 60degrees, never heard of 80 before. It could be of course. |

More logical than a 180 one. I was just looking for a possible typo. As I dont think someone would type 180 insead of 60. |

#12 I said neither boxster or boxer. I for some reason due to flying hippos hit the letter t there. I shall now fit it up. |

180 degree V engine would mean massive crankshaft rigidity problems, and for reference 180 degree Vs are different than horizontally opposed or "boxer" motors. strange but true. |

Would a 180 deg. V have 180 degrees of separation between each "hump" on the crank? I could imagine something like THAT would try to blow itself apart. What would a 180 degree V look like that would differentiate it from a boxer? I'm not trying to put anyone on the spot, but I'm really curious. |

a boxer is like a 180 degree V turned inside out. a boxer 4 has only 2 cylinders, but 4 pistons, which compress inward towards each other. a 180 degree V is like a regular V, just flat. |
