97 Toredor Red Metallic Taurus SHO-almost in showroom condition, 6 disc in the trunk, 64K on the clock, perfect tan leather....everything works perfectly, has some slight traction issues while turning and flooring it for some reason

#81, no doubt its a SHO....but i have doubts of it NOT having 3 pedals...seeing as how they didnt make the damn first gen with a manual.......go look at it....act like you know something if its really an auto and ask them when the transmission was converted and why...price off baby

just to clear up any engine confusion.....summary of taurus engines since debut of the sho
3.0 liter SOHC Vulcan...reliable yet underpowered engine used until the taurus' demise in 06
3.0 liter DOHC Duratec...larger displacement SVT Contour derivitive still underpowered but had more power then the Vulcan
3.0 liter DOHC Yamaha....which is what the car you were looking at has
3.2 liter DOHC Yamaha....gen 2 SHO stuff....not sure exactly when it was debuted
3.4 liter DOHC Yamaha.....gen III V8
3.8 liter Essex...optional engine from 88-95 |

Lauderdale county has one of these as a cop car; I just saw it on the way to class this morning. It said something like "prisoner transport" on the side. Most of their cars are Crown Vics, but I've also seen a new Charger in their livery lately.
Their colors, for the record, are white cars with green striping on the side and gold secondary striping. |

someone ran me off the road yesterday...around 2 in the afternoon....i was turning into the entrance of a car audio place as the guy just kept gaining on my ass....so i hit a telephone pole with my right rear door....its not really bad....scratched pain and a good 8 inch section of the bottom of my door is wrinkled.......guess how incredibly pissed off i was though....go on....just guess |

So to bring this topic back from the dead.
The car now has KONI adjustable struts as well as Eibach lowering springs and poly swaybar bushings. It handles fairly well now and its freakin low. No pics right now but they will come. I'm going to go back to the track and try to improve on my times a bit. Now the car doesn't lunge foward when you let off the gas, it's a beautiful thing. |
