#19, That's what e-brake is for. You slow down, and *poof* you're going the other side.
Just make sure you're perfect at it. Lots of practice in an empty space, with plastic bottles or cardboard boxes making for curbs.

#6, That's odd, we find people from Toronto/Ontario/Ottawa real shit drivers most of the time : slow, u-turns in the middle of the street, no flashers, etc.

there's been quite a few incidents - but nothing 'near-death' or accident-y. I did get chased by a couple of kids in a VW once (back when I had my Nissan truck) - I pulled over, threatened them with a tire iron and they took off.
I also once got chased by three goons from a Meijers parking lot. This was years ago when I was 17-18. They said something about my girlfriend... I drove away and started to get really pissed off. So I drove back - charging at them in my little '84 Nissan truck. They scattered fast but ended up trying to chase me down in there car. I made a right turn going onto the highway - going about 55 - and they couldn't make the same turn in their FWD car...
these days I drive full-size cars or SUVs - and it's funny how people don't want to play games with you when you have something that weighs over 4000pds with a 'NRA' sticker (note I'm not a member).

Two summers ago me and my friend were coming back home from the theater when we accidentally cut these guys off in a black SUV in the turnaround lane on the main drag. They followed us to the next light and started hollering at us and trying to start a fight. I, of course, decided to exacerbate the situation and start yelling stuff back. My pal wasn't to pleased and tried to lose them but they managed to follow us into the parking lot of a drug store. We waited for them to get out of their truck and then we sped off before they had a chance to follow. Now I'm no great fighter and to this day I don't know why I mouthed off at them because I sure as heck would've gotten my butt kicked. I guess it was just the thrill of the moment.
