Description:
Work began in earnest Sunday night on Project:Afterburner, replacing the stock suspention and brake parts that have worn out. |

#3, Stock 3.0 Ford, just pulled it out tonight

Checking compression tommorrow, if it's good, then it's getting new gaskets and machine the heads and then going back in (180K mile motor) if it's got bad compression, it's getting chucked and replaced with a new 3.0 crate that you can get for $900

#7, If the 3.0 is bad, you should swap in another Caddy 500 with a stock Eldorado transaxle! YEAH!

Or maybe an Olds big block with a Toronado transaxle. Part Caddy, part Olds, in a Ford package.

Engine cleaned and rebuilt, was a real mess inside (Blown head gasket) now has new valve seals, new gaskets, new water pump, new brakes, new struts, new rotors, new plugs and wires, new serpentine blet and fresh paint
