I'm thinking Arby's.

Damn that subliminal messaging!

i want to know how much they spent on that campaign ad, and if that's directly related to why their food/meal prices have gone up so much.

The driver no doubt stopped in for some Loaded Potato Bites.

My buddies got a company Smart and they tried to rally it. A BIG mistake, they almost got killed when the gearbox and all systems went haywire in a fast corner. They landed in foliage, missing an embankment and a tree. They got scared so badly they pulled out of the event.
And these guys usually rally a Lada with 100% diff lock. It's kinda hard to scare these guys.

Yeah, electronics can scare the hardest of the hardcore.

#8, Only if it decides that it knows better what to do the moment (or split second later more like) the driver reacts to sliding at high speed (well... high speed for a Smart anyway).
The guy says the car started to gently slide, he contersteered, the car suddenly started to apply brakes to seemingly random wheels (first making the slide deeper and then suddenly and violently spinning the car in the opposite direction). The car spun 180 degrees and went off the road going backwards.
Well, the Smart is hardly a performance car and it was slippery but, hell, Smarts are know to end up on their rear hatch with nose pointing at the sky! Now that's safe!!!

I'd sooner rally in a radio flyer wagon than a Smart

After seeing Top Gear's comedy handling test, I would never attempt any high speed maneuvers with a fortwo.

#10, They saw some potential in it: tiny size, small turbocharged engine and a sequential (!) gearbox. But the tranny was shit (slow as fuck) and electronics ruined everything else.

Activist groups are trying to make electronic traction control standard in all cars now. >_<

#13, What a fucking bunch of morons... I can understand TC only if it is possible to shut it off completely.
And about those activists... I'd like to give them a ride in a Renault Super 5 and demonstrate just how 'safe' FWD is... can you say terminal snap lift-off oversteer of death? *evil laughter*

The trouble is, these activist groups are all a bunch of city-dwelling "stoplight to stoplight" drivers that only drive as well as one who has been given a basic drivers' education. They expect everyone to settle for the lowest common denominator, instead of actually learning things like skid recovery.

#16, I bet they don't live in snow heavy states either. I feel fine driving in snow.

#17, Actually they usually use snow as an excuse for their TCS agenda.

#18, That's lame. Most people in MN think they can drive in snow simply because they have SUVs and have snowy winters. The truth is, there are more fatalities in winter in metro areas because people go WAY TOO FAST in the snow.
