Is it just me or does the paint not all match? I think this car may have had some panel repaints in its past. And I'm not talking about the Bondo spot on the quarter.

I only went in one once in my entire life, on the Gulf Coast when I was about 9 or 10.

I remember Kay Bee pretty well, though.

Kay Bee was awesome :D I acquired most of my Johnny Lightnings from their 3/$5 sale, and often bought Maisto 1:18s on sale there for $12.99 or $14.99.

One of my favorite memories, I was 7, I think. I found the HW Treasure hunt white Camaro. I still have it in the faded as fuck blister.

#7, I remember digging to the back of a diecast shelf at KayBee shortly before they closed, and I found a horribly battered boxed Maisto 1/64 Lincoln Mark VII... the pricetag looked like it was five years old.

Now Toys R Us holds a very special place in my heart... my maternal grandfather, "Pops", ADORED going shopping, doesn't matter what it was for... he just enjoyed the act. So, for many, many birthdays, his "present" would be taking us kids to Toys R Us, with a set budget, and we had an hour to use up that budget. Pretty generous budget, too, I might add. Over the course of a number of years, I acquired a number of large Lego sets. I still remember the look on his face, enjoying watching us kids happily decide what we wanted.
