Description:
Alfa Romeo GTV.

Call me paranoid but I suspect this may be another car build on the Tipo platform. I have no evidence but... The footprint about matches and the car has a semi-flip-up front, very much like Fiat Coupe.

You're right

" Basically, Alfa Romeo's GTV / Spider is also based on the Tipo platform, however, after experienced unsatisfatory handling during testing, the rear MacPherson struts were replaced by the pricier multi-link suspensions. "

#1, Yeah, I knew about the multilink. Damn, looks like the Tipo platform was a huge success for Fiat.

#2, Actually I just remembered I rode in one. It was the base 2.0l Twin Spark but, damn, it was so zippy and agile... you can't see it in the pictures but it's really square-ish and really low. Lots and lots of grip, even though the driver was shit. Oh, and it was a Spider so I could fully enjoy the engine sound :)

#5, hahaha. I was kidding. Oh, apparently Car went back to a diff format. Its not short and stubby anymore. It looks like its trying to be Evo now. Not horrible, not but super great either. Just got Jan '07 Top Gear last night. Fun read.

I like my father's Tipo so much, I want it when he buys himself something else.
Completely wicked plan for when I have a lot of cash... Swap in a turbo 2.0 5-cyl with 6-speed... and leave it looking stock, unpainted bumpers, black steelies and all... it would make a bangin' amateur rally car.
