Description:
Anybody remember this movie? I love the Gumball Rally, it's been called the best film take-off of the original Cannonball Sea-to-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dash.

I didn't like it, to be honest. Raul Julia's performance grated on me (it took me about an hour into the movie to realize that the character was actually supposed to be Italian, and not just affecting an Italian accent in an attempt to be funny), and too much of the automotive action focused on the Cobra and the Daytona, which just got tedious after a while. The gag of the motorcyclist constantly crashing got old fast, too.

Mind you, seeing a genuine Daytona spider and a genuine 427 Cobra (as well as 440 Dodge Polara, a 300SL roadster, and a pretty wild 2nd gen Z/28) in action makes it worth at least one viewing, though.
