The Monza was based on the Vega starting in '75 and I believe it replaced the Vega once the Vega was dropped after '77.

#2, The sky looks pretty grey from where I'm sitting right now (it's raining). I wasn't aware that everyone and their dog knew that, and your description sounded like you weren't sure exactly what it was.
