I got a Welly Jaguar S-Type 4.0 in British Racing Green for $9.99 at the local discount store. They make pretty good models.
The same store has had a red Sun Star VW Cabriolet with a busted grille for 2 years, they still want $14 bucks for a broken model in a destroyed box. Yay for BigLots.

#6, Biglots can be pretty cool though. I found a Motormax R34 for $3.

#7, I could have snagged a black Welly '01 Passat for $10 once and a yellow Sun Star Pontiac Vibe GT-R for $14. They've also had several Solidos and some Hot Wheels 1:18 models over the years. If you ever want a 1:25 '80 Camaro plastic kit with next to no detail, head over to my local BigLots. They've had a stack of 'em for a year.

I've considered picking up one of the old GMP Fox bodies, probably the Twister. They're expensive, though, and not getting any cheaper....

if you must get a Fox, get a Welly as your starting point and work up from there. I have s GMP Cobra thanks to a random guy on here :)

#13, Just looked at some detailed pictures of the Welly SVOs....they don't look quite up to my standard for detail. Nice price, but since I only rarely buy 1:18s, that's not too much of a concern.

#14, I bought one of these SVOs earlier this year as a gift for a friend. It arrived with the passenger seat loose, but easily remedied as the mounting tabs just weren't pushed into the floor pan all the way. It's decent for what it is.

It's too bad you didn't look for a Fox when GoMotorBids was still around. I snagged a '93 Cobra in red for my dad for $40 on a one-day, limited quantity deal.

#15, Oh sure, rub it in. :P

There are two Twister IIs - one white, one red - on eBay right now for $99 each. That's within an acceptable range for me, but I can't really get them now. I'm spending too much money on actual cars at the moment.
