There was a Red Mark III turbo manual for sale in my college parking lot, it was clean and had a set of cheap but not unnattractive chrome rims. Guy wanted $6500 for it. I was dissuaded by the banner which read "Dragst@'s CC" in bold yellow font. Lots of dipshit racer clubs around here.

#10, Don't feel too bad, the car was pretty much cherry from what I could see, but you know the engine's been beat to death on the main drag. Hope it finds a good home.

#11, yep. I hate living in a "hood" nieghborhood. Cars are cheap cuz they are visually beat to shit, or run like shit, or both.

#13, shit I saw a newer (dunno how new) Grand Am on Bonneville SSEi 3 spoke chromes with a primer hood and faded red bodywork with a shiny white spoiler, and I saw a Phantom dented up with a broken taillight lense.

#14, Kids like to take their 3rd gen F bodies and Fox body Stangs and run em against the Honda Accord LEs and Eclipse RS's on the main drag on "cruising night". The faster imports might have a few good bolt on's but power adders and lower engine work are usually rare, likewise with the older domestics who might have some intake and exhaust work but damned if they got more than 300 horses at decent revs under the hood. Every now and then you'll spot a Cobra or an Acura whose owner is mostly out to pwn riceboys and it's always fun to see somebody who just got swept by yell shit and give the other car the finger or make up the usual "BOV leak" or "Not set up for drag" excuses. Lots of cars are beaten and old, you can tell by the way the exhausts rattle or the tone of the engine, I've seen some truly sad displays.

#15, yeah man, that's what I love about Lawrence, and Uptown, equally nice imports, euros, and domestics. Uusally the mullet rice/rice/eurotrash gets shut down.

#16, Well, here the biggest scene is the vintage 60s/70s muscle, honestly you should see the Harper dream cruise. Lots of Stang fans too, I see many very nice Cobras, Foxes, GTs, and Saleens all of varying model years. There's love for imports too, I see some Mark 3 & 4 Supras, plenty of Z cars, buttloads of Acuras and Lexus as well. I haven't been down to the drag in close to a year myself, so God knows whats buzzing around down there.

#18, Big SUV town too, people love to bling and bag em, some nice, some not so nice. But I guess it's a matter of taste...
