#1, I lot a classic car magazine that had all the data. as you can see, the engine in the picture has 3 2bbl carbs, so it might have been a race engine or a modified one (you can buy upgrade kits even today).
Here's the data for the most mundsne model. Just keep in mind it was the 70s, and after some upgrades (mostly a 16v head and EFI) the engine was used up to 1995.
DOHC S-4, iron block, alloy cylinder head, 8v, 1995cc, 1 Weber carb, 114hp @ 5600rpm.

#4, Yep... and it took VW 30 years. In the mean time, Fiat put a 16v head on it, turboed it and put it in a Lancia Delta Integrale among other things (like a Volumex supercharger and multitude or race versions; group B amongst them).
