I'm not a huge fan of the color or the front bumper modification, but at least he tried to make it suitable for OT use. Shame that it's a low-buck build with a leaf spring rear suspension, though.

#2, Yes, because it's a Mustang II it automaticlly sucks, no way in hell to make one fast *rolls eyes*

#4, Are you kidding? I just don't like this particular car, for the same reasons as #3.

#5, Ok sorry, just thought it was more mindless Mustang II bashing as many people like to do. (not only here)

#3, Plenty can be done on leaf springs, though.

#6, If it had a decent bumper that actually fit, I just might be willing to drive it. I suppose I could live with that color.

Wah wah wah, the Mustang 2 wasn't the prettiest thing on the road I know but I just can't complain about this one. It's a nicely built cruiser with reasonable numbers and it doesn't hurt that it looks damn good. I like my high dollar builds with ridiculous horsepower and torque numbers but I enjoy a low buck build just as much if not more.

#7, But there are lots of "tricks" you can do with a link-based suspension that makes such a setup preferable for most applications.

If it works, it works, but it's hard to imagine a car that doesn't have plenty of traction on R-compound tires. :p

#10, No doubt a multilink is better, I'm just saying leafs (leaves?) aren't the end of the world or anything.

#11, They're not, but I like good axle location and lots of antisquat.

OTOH, I can't think of a single factory domestic linked solid axle suspension that actually offers both of those characteristics (especially, nothing contemporary with the Pintostang). Heck, certainly nothing Fox-based.

not that impressive. KYB GR2's are woefully soft, especially for track use.
