Westfalia Sprinter

(NOTE: DamChrys owns Westfalia now, so VW now has to do all camper-conversions of their vans in-house.)

I imagine it'd probably be easier to drive* and more fuel-efficient than an American-style campervan, with no real sacrifice in space.

*=Well, it'd probably have slower acceleration, but that's the only real problem I can see.

#3, Slow, but I'm sure you wouldn't want to drive it very quickly anyway!

#5, Yeah, useful for when you're apexing the chicanes of Laguna Seca in your freaking CAMPER VAN.

#8, Most Mercedes do absolutely nothing for me. I find them almost as soulless to look at as a Toyota these days. But whatever, if you like it, then good for you.

#9, That's not a real camper van, real ones are pretty much like american ones: a van with a humongous composite box on it.

#9, I'm talking everyday driving, not racing. I'm talking about when you want to make that left turn on a yellow and speed up to make it through before the light turns red. A van like this would have a pretty high center of gravity and very well might have a higher rollover risk than, say, even a large SUV.

#12, Maybe you shouldn't be speeding up on yellow. In fact, you definitely shouldn't be.

#13, I'm pretty sure you've done that at least once in your life.

#14, Fast enough to experience g-force while making the left turn? Hell no I haven't. If you have to speed up that much to beat the yellow, you probably shouldn't be trying to.

#16, You must be a better driver than most of the people in my area then.

I've never sped up to get through a yellow light... either I have enough time to get through it going the speed I'm going, or I stop. Simple as that.
