I still remember it. I was at the flagpost with my buddy that day. The sun was shining, it was hot, we had sun umbrella, sandwiches and a stereo. We were (shamelessly and not quite legally) kicking back. We were just about to, er, start to stand up (it was the first lap) when I caught some movement on the far section of the track with the corner of my eye. I looked in that direction and saw something tumbling through the air above the armco level. Wow.
