I thought we could use a Music Thread for the posting of new bands, shows, and general interest as the topic comes up regularly

sikth, a british band I discovered last year.. They just.. rock.. too much. If you have the chance, go watch their new video from the song Bland Street Bloom. Sincerely, it's the best video I've seen in a loooooong time : http://youtube.com/watch?v=cAyqaLpJTQg A must for any metal fan.

#1, For some reason death metal pounding/growling combo is not my cup of tea... can't get into it.

The most recent live show I've seen was last thursday, Regina Spektor. She was really impressive... great stage show.

#3, Heh, and for some reason, I truly hate Therion. To each his own I guess.

Oh and so that means you don't like Behemoth, the polish extreme death metal band.

Queens of the Stone Age have sent this track with Trent Reznor that isn't going to be on the new album into the wilds of the internet.

#8, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

Good call. Murder Ballads is actually one of my favorite albums ever.

#15, I'm partial to Henry's Dream, but Murder Ballads is also amazing. Pretty much anything the man touches. Interesting side note, I also mentioned Einsturzende Neubauten... Blixa Bargeld is one of the seeds.

#17, That's a commentary on hip-hop in general, isn't it? One of the illest MCs to ever pic up a mic and no one really knows who he is.
