Apparently, the tops are white to reflect the sun.

I remember one time I had my Grandpa ask a UPS driver who made UPS trucks, since 5 year olds shouldn't talk to strangers :P
For some reason, I though he said it was Ford (t'was a long time ago, tho)

:( That sucks, since someday the only old-style UPS trucks left will be museum pieces or on display at the company headquarters or somesuch.
