I can't stand people that take Johnny Lightning diecasts, do some little tweak to them (like turning it into a keychain or a paperweight), then sell them for more. Wal*Mart has a few of these in the discount bin.

#1, JLs are meant to be mostly static collectibles anyway. You can't use one as a keychain without destroying it. The paint just can't take it.

#3, I know from painful experience. When I was a kid, my JL Monaco Bluesmobile accidentally went down a ladder in my closet. It hit about 5 rungs on the way down. The paintwork was ruined. It had been in perfect condition beforehand.

#5, Shit, alot of mine that have been around awhile are quite chipped from being stored with 20 million other diecasts.

I stopped collecting JL's when their price jumped to 4.99. Not only that, but they hardly ever do anything new or different.
