#1, I've seen a couple G5's...

Saw one actually parked next to a G6 coupe, and realized how pointless the G5 being sold in America really is :(

The only reason I can even remotely like it is it replaces the Cobalt coupe's pimple taillights with proper ones.

#2, what about the Cavalier/Sunfire coupes? Would the same hold true for the Sunfire? All the G5 is, is a Sunfire replacement.

#2, Seen a few and I agree with that statement.

#3, The Cavalier/Sunfire twins... that was back when it was ok for GM to just have a different grille and sell a car under a different brand... but now times are different. GM tried doing it with their "Crossover Sport Vans", just changing the grille, and obviously it didn't work.

In this day and age, GM has to do more when rebadging...like the Lambda crossovers... they all have different front facias and headlights... rebadging has to be more distinctinve now. With the G5, it's much too obvious.

Also, in the time of the Sunfire, the Grand Am was distinctively different looking from it... but now, the G5 and G6 are too close in appearance now.

I've seen several of these in Cali, one in my neighborhood.

#5, That, I can understand. Although, GM has always been about rebadges, ala Chevy/GMC vehicles.

#8, But, I can understand what DiRF is getting at with the reply. Although, I do think that Pontiac is a bit lower priced. On the other hand, the Colbalt/G5 is sorta like having an Impala and a G8? I could be mistaken though.

There's still no confirmation that the new Impala will be a rebadged Holden.

Seen a few in the past few weeks.

I see quite a bit more GTO's than these things.
