Again, with the previous picture, NONE of these cars are sold alongisde another one of the rebadges in the same market... GM simply has to badge a vehicle with a brand that is familiar to the regional market in which it is sold.

As I'm sure you guys know, the Chevy Lacetti is Top Gear's Reasonably Price Car. I'm sure it's making a reasonable amount of money in each of the countries it's sold in too judging from all the different branding.

So the British version is sold as a Chevrolet? Odd. I'd figure it would be under the Vauxhall badge.

Actually, my line "GM simply has to badge a vehicle with a brand that is familiar to the regional market in which it is sold." Is not really correct... The badge GM puts on this car for whatever region it's being sold in... they sometimes do it for a brand that needs to sell more cars, as they do not want this car to be put under a brand that already has a lot of vehicles, some very similar.

They want to put the vehicle under a brand that does not already have a compact/midsize sedan in its lineup.

So in America, they don't want this cannabalizing sales from other Chevys if it were a Chevy too, just like they wouldn't want this badged as a Vauxhall, cannabalizing sales from similar-sized Vauxhalls.

I should also probably mention, Buick China is facelifting their version of this car... with the exception of the Altezza'd tails, I think it looks rather nice

#7, Inncorrect.

They sold Suzuki Forenza sedans and Chevrolet Optra sedans here up until last year and nobody said a thing. Same with the Optra5 and Reno.

and again with the Suzuki Verona and Chevrolet Epica.

and again with the Suzuki/Chev/Pontiac Swift+/Aveo/Wave.

Hmmm... checking Suzuki's Canadian website right now, they aren't currently selling the Forenza... only the Vitara, Aerio, SX4, and XL7. You sure Suzuki Canada actually sold the Forenza and the Verona, and that they aren't just cars that were bought in America?

#14, I got the Swift+ as well. No Forenzas found on Canadatrader, but did find 23 Veronas.

#14, I'd be a huge pain/risk to plate not much of a car. Or they could have not been Canadian.

I can't prove the Forenza one - but I know I saw one today.

I've been looking through, and so far I can only find two major car markets that any version of this car is not sold in... Japan and Brazil.
