Interesting to see how you live. My house looks like the one Napolean Dynamite lived in with his grandmother - very seventies.

My (way too)expensive apt one block away from campus. Its small/cramped/tiny/etc and I hate it. The only good thing is its proximity to the art building.

Quick snap of the view into the den with Frank resting on my speaker, shedding all over the grille: http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/...37/IMG_2332.jpg

blinds are removed for new ones being installed later this week. Soon we're removing the carpet to reveal the hardwood underneath and replacing the vinyl "wood" paneling with drywall to be painted a nice vibrant green.

couches are hand-me-down from Anna's paternal grandparents, ugly but comfy. I want to replace them with mid-century looking stuff like the pimp ass Danish teak coffee table just barely visible.

Current stereo setup changes monthly - last week a Marantz pre and quad amp combo were sitting in place of the early Akai reel to reel.

cont.

eventually I will build wall mounted bookcases that run the width of the wall between the fireplace on both sides, ending about a foot below the window. Stereo gear will go on top and books/vinyl/cds on the shelves themselves. Right now there is a guestroom full of music and books and it looks really shoddy - I'd love to put it all on neat display.

Read more about the receiver you see in the pic here: http://www.electricalhobby.com/mons...intec_1120d.htm

pics of my own unit and words also by me.

#16, Trust me, I want to keep the theme. The blinds coming are thick wood and the planned shade of green is very classic. With the wood flooring, some cool rugs and more Danish/mid century stuff it will look even old-schooler.
