my dusty monte carlo...
I brought it outside to take some pics to put it up for sale...
needless to say, it made me a little sad. The blood, sweat n' tears... the rumpy ZZ4 cam...
oh well... I'm a turbo man now ;) |

#1, haven't driven much at all (or insured for that matter) for the past two years...
and I'm kinda *yikes* getting into the Volvo thang lately... I have dreams of T-5s now - lol

#3, nah... not yet - just enjoying them as-is...
the wife's 850 is uber-base with cloth interior and the 170hp engine. It does handle damn fine though - maybe the best handling car I've ever driven (which isn't saying much).
as nice as my new 850GLT (turbo) is - I would like to start with something a little newer... and a manual. Right now it's is just used for going back n' forth to work.

#4, GLT uses the low-pressure turbo, which is still good, but wait till you get your hands on an S70 T5 with a manual :p
Mine is even more uber-base than your wife's, having the Canada-only B5252s non-turbo 2.4L DOHC 10 valve engine, but with a manual. No options at all, and I still freakin' love it.

got a guy from Indiana coming to look at it tomorrow - he seems pretty serious with a rental car hauler...
now I'm getting depressed thinking of selling it!

#8, :( end of an era man. I missed reading "update" threads on it, too. You should get another or something down the road. I liked the car, and it takes away something I loved about ricecop. Not the Volvos aren't interesting, but I don't see too many Monte SS' in any condition. :(
