They'd do well if they'd just stop selling crossovers and bland, psuedo-sporty 4 doors. No one cares about Autostick transmissions.

There's no reason to spend millions of dollars on R&D for a vehicle guaranteed for only moderate success. Surely they know when they design some shit like the Nitro or the Pacifica that they're not going to sell more than about 50,000 of them per year.

Build. Decent. Cars. Period.

the next 100 years better be almost completely different than the last for them to succeed.

Chrysler does need to break themselves away from the family friendly ideal, if you're going to build a muscle car and stick a legendary nameplate on it ditch the sedan design and the heavy platform and put a true manual gearbox in it. Don't get me wrong I do like the Charger but taking a good car and dumbing it down in the name of "versatility" is ludicrous. But the one thing they do have going for them is the young black dude market, I can't count how many blinged out Chrysler products I've seen between here and Detroit, sure it may be a mixed blessing but if they're selling well to the demographic what's the harm?

#3, They already build decent cars, they just need to build something INTERESTING.

And preferrably something with some hidden performance potential, like the old 2.2 turbo 4 cylinder. Talk about one of the best kept performance secrets....

Funny, I always thought it was taller, prettier and located in Manhattan :P

Anyway, Dodge didn't start building cars until 1914 and Maxwell, the company chrysler took over, started in 1904 according to wikipedia, Chrysler apparently can't do math :P

#9, The Charger/MAgnum/300 and truck line, sure.

The rest, eh, not so much.

#11, I guess it depends on what you mean by "decent." I'm referring to quality control, design, reliability, etc. Their whole lineup does okay on that front (in other words, they don't have any "problem cars" like they did in the '90s).
