This is the original Ferrari 365 Daytona Spyder used in "The Gumball Rally". Someone added the silver paint on the nose later.

A couple more pictures that don't suck quite as much:

Was this when they had a Ferrari exhibit? When I went, it was in the Hollywood Star Cars or whatever exhibit... which wasn't terribly impressive, other than McQueen's XKSS...

#6, Yep. The first time I went, this exhibit was there as well. The Star Car exhibit did kinda suck :( What other things did they have when you were there?

#7, Random Italian cars... and I *do* mean random... and then an exhibit on scooters.

I feel like I hit them on a down cycle... oh well.

I've seen exhibits there ranging from vintage race cars; customs, concepts and prototypes through the years; "What Were They Thinking?" (automotive flops and 'never-was' cars); Star Cars; Ferrari; Cars and Fashion; Cars of Heads of State; Hot Wheels; Alternative Fuel; Hot Rods; Micro Cars; '32 Fords; early RVs and house cars; and Treasures from the Vault (including Preston Tucker's personal Torpedo and the infamous Round Door Rolls). I've been there about four or five times that I recall, maybe more. It has good and bad periods.

I would have loved to have seen the "What Were They Thinking" exhibit...

I posted almost every car from that exhibit here on RoN, but I'm too lazy to find all the individual threads so here are all my shots from that visit.

Incidentally that was the same day we bought my Focus. I was given less than an hour to run through the museum since we needed to go pick up the Ford 271 miles north in Merced and then drive it another 100 miles home. That was a long day.
