From the pic name I gather this was an endurance dyno test. Still, rally car turbos were known for glowing pretty damn bright (Sierra Cosworth's for example).

#3, Fetch me mah red hot poker, it's brandin' time!
They have a recreation blacksmith shop at the historical society in town, I like watching the glowing hot metal being pounded into shape.
