not bad, but still needs more shadowing and shading, looks flat and unrealisitic

I'm getting tired of these racing games where all the cars have the same license plate number, as if you don't know what game you're playing. (ND4SPD, UNDRGND, MDNTCLB, etc). Need For Speed: High Stakes came out something like 8 years ago, and that had customizable plates. If they now make racing games that let you customize your onscreen gauges or give the car TVs and stereo crap, why not let you pick your own plate?

Midnight Club 3 let you customize plates, so I guess this one will too.

#4, Ah, I see. Never played that one and only saw the "MDNTCLB" plates on the cars in the trailer, so I didn't know.

#2, This screen's probably just some image from beta testing on a development kit, I'm sure the finished product will look cleaner. That's not to say that the game doesn't look amazing so far, the animations incredibly fluid and the textures are just wonderful. And I was wondering when another Midnight Club was going to come out, DUB edition was loads of fun.

#7, I couldn't help noticing real cars in the traffic, not just low-poly half-assed traffic cars like you see in your average NFS game. I have to give the Midnight Club guys credit for that.

#8, Attention to detail is always a good thing, if they include nice little touches like that people tend to notice and credit Rockstar for taking extra steps to add to the driving experience.

Midnight Club 3 had an awesome car selection and mofication engine (and probably the best soundtrack of any racing game EVER), but I didn't care so much for the driving physics.
