For some reason I can't bring myself to like the new Mini, don't know why.

#2, Probably. Old Mini was really small. And cheap. This isn't.

#3, In a way you might be able to call the new Mini the US's equivalent of the BMW 1 Series, in terms of size and packaging - and manufacturer.

BMW should just name it the 0.5 series. Or replace the 1 series with it

No, it's just a bloated imitation of a once brilliant British design.

#9, The Minis are fine cars, it's just the use of the name/history of the original Mini that irks me a bit.

I actually really liked the new Minis ... then they redesigned it in that ill-conceived "lawl let's make it biggar" phase and now they'll look like shit for the foreseeable future.

Gimme an old one.

Guy around here has a BRG one with a key stuck on the back, cute.

#8, Welcome to my disdain of the modern American muscle car.

Gimme a B18C swapped original Mini any day.

#10, Seconds that.

#13, Mini needs a carbed engine to be truly cool. Nothing beats the 1.3l BMC sound.

I'd rather have the Honduh engine.

Found one on ebay once with Honda power, thought it was strange at the time.

I'd take any of 'em. New ones included.

A Honda powered original Mini might be interesting, but I think I'd rather have the original motor. Presence and charisma over power and efficiency any day, particularly if it weren't my daily driver.

#18, Thatd just be too much power for that tiny thing, I think.
