at first I thought it was an ad against commercial "hip hop", then I got to Twist and Snoop.

I'm sure this is going to change a lot of minds.

Ah Clear Channel, Howard Stern's dreaded foe. And when it comes to rap I have to say that despite my overwhelming urge to sock Kanye West in his pompous kidney's his beats and lyrical style are really a breath of fresh air from every platinum toothed donk driving twat blathering on about shooting people.

#2, That's Kanye in a nutshell. Pompous and pretentious as all hell but he has the talent to back it up, that's why I'm still a fan.

#3, if you consider taking a daft punk song, putting some cliches and rhymes about klondikes talent, then yes.

#4, you obviously haven't heard most of his work. he raps about relevant things, problems anyone faces. not about how if you fuck up he'll shoot you, or dumb shit like that. not to mention he produces his own music, unlike people like 50 cent that have everyone else make beats for him, and he uses recycled rhymes over it.

#4, yes, that's the only song he's ever done. Maybe you're right, maybe you don't need to try things before judging - for example, I've never driven one but I know that Berettas suck major dirty asshole.

douche.

#6 Vikings, axes, death, kali, etc. etc. etc.

Like I said listen to some Wu.

#7, Like you said, I did.

Maybe you should listen to Therion some more too, the words "Viking", "Axe" and, yes, even "death" and nowhere to be found on their lyrics.
And Kali Yuga is a bitchin' headbanger fest (well, at least the second part).

#7, And I think you got things wrong. Shit, I actually enjoy listening to old rap, but when someone spands 50k on a chrome finish for his Lambo and still raps about ghetto and how hard his life is? Oh for fuck's sake!

I don't like rap music, but I defend the rap artists who are taking flack for standing up against this extreme political correctness movement. It's still art, and artistic expression should not be censored just because two or three people are offended by it because they have narrow-minded sensibilities.

I have a great deal of respect for anyone who defiantly uses the words "bitch" and "nigger" just because they're told not to.

1) Clear channel stations play these songs and much more graphic items and let curse words fly through all the time.
2) They are generalizing as other music artist talk about stalking or other illegal activities; however, they are widely respected. Why isn't Eminem on that list as he has pretty violent lyrics that are in context.
3) Many clear channel's radio stations only focus on pop songs. For rap artist, the only way to get airplay is to rap about the same stuff as everyone else or develop an undergroud following so strong that they would be fools to turn it down.
4) Following #2 and #4, all the songs these artist do aren't violent. Lil Wayne had a song dedicated to his dead father watching over him. Even got a video for it. If Eminem were to be placed on the list one would argue he made some non-violent meaningful songs.

Overall: This list is ironic and acts as a great way to promote sales for the top selling artists. Generalization rules my world! Guide me! Give me POWA!!

#19, There are a lot of huge "underground" artists in hiphop that aren't actually underground at all and get zero air play.

good points elsewhere.
