Description:
Turbo Cobra. The owner sez:

"Not that 03-04 cobras are sleepers at all.....this is sort of one i guess"
*****and yes there are many design flaws*****

"We elected to do a total sleeper by keeping the entire Eaton housing with the snout. We successfully gutted the stock supercharger and opened up the entire charger housing to create a large intake plenum. The charger was reassembled with the boost pulley now acting as an idler, so that when the hood is popped it looks like a bone stock 03. This not only utilizes the existing upgraded water to air intercooler for our 23PSI , but also saves $$$ on an air to air intercooler and replacement manifold. Estimated power is 810 RWHP"

Amazingly clever, but for all the trouble I'd just get a Kenne Bell blower. I likes my low end powa.

Call me stupid, but are the stock side intakes functional?

#2, afaik, they are purely aesthetic, it looks like the hole was cut out of this one manually, looks kinda rough

#2, This one probably slices and dices vegetables and small children's fingers quite well, I imagine.

#2, I don't believe they have a purpose but if they did I'd imagine it would have something to do with inducting air over the rear brakes. But I guess this one serves a purpose now, heh...

Also, I don't know how "sleeper" this would be in terms of sound. I think experienced races would be able to determine blower whine from the guttural sound of a turbo and the pisssshhhhh of it's BOV.

#2, They're just solid pieces of plastic; no air even could go through them. I think they had to cut holes in the side of the body to do this.

The earlier SN95s are a little different--the scoop is actually cut into the side of the body. While it is still totally nonfunctional, on the '94-95 cars, there's actually a matching cover plate in the wheel well, which leads me to believe that some sort of hole does go all the way through. I wonder if there would be any benefit to running a brake duct through there on the Slowbra.

I dislike most of the owners and virtually every stock configuration, but the aftermarket is great.

#9, Half the fun is in making a decently fast vehicle that is mostly indistinguishable from those. :p

Doesn't the sticker that says "4.6 Turbo" under the hood kind of defeat the purpose of hiding the turbochargers?

#10, Yeah but the guy in the Corvette racing you doesn't know that it's twice as powerful as a stock Cobra.
