I guess it's because I had seen so many Monty Python things before Holy Grail that I really don't see the big deal about it... I still think the original TV series, and also particularly The Meaning of Life are vastly superior.

#1, Holy Grail, IMO, was every bit as brilliant as everything else they did. Python never really had a low point, apart from the last season or so of Flying Circus when John Cleese left.

#4, There's only two Terrys... Terry Gilliam, who was the most "artistic" of the two, did the animations, and rarely showed up as an actor, and Terry Jones, who was rather portly and hilarious.
