I'm sorry, but these don't look like ass... maybe LOL THEY'RE SOCCERMOM CROSSOVER WEAKASS THINGS LOL, but I don't find the aesthetic design to be unappealing. I kinda like 'em.

#3, It's not something I'd drive. I'd take an '04 Vibe though.

I have no interest in any Pontiac since 2002, with the exception of the 2004-2006 GTO.

These are quieter than the first gen. MPG is a bit worse, but not much. The interior is about on-par with the first gen though. Also, these aren't seemingly as prone to rust as the first gens were.

The most reliable and highest residual Pontiac since...ever.

#8, For a while, they were absolute bargains on the used market, much like the Geo/Chevy Prizm from a decade prior... they depreciated like any other GM product, but were reliable Toyotas in disguise.

At a former job, an elderly coworker had a beat-up old Buick... when the car broke-down for good, they got a sweetheart deal on a used Vibe. I couldn't have been more happy for them to get such a solid used car for cheap.

Dude first gens hold their value here holy shit. These do too, but they're cheaper. I guess people don't like how "big" they are.
