back before quad cabs became available in the US, I saw some older mexican Nissan Hardbodies and Toyota truck quad cabs... and I asked - why not here?!?!?

Because here in the land of the free there are so many restrictions and bureacratic red tape about how a vehicle has to be built to be sold here, that many times automakers just say "Fuck it" and don't sell various vehicles here.

speaking of crew cab pickups we didn't get the '89-'95 Toyota in crew cab did we? I saw one today and thought it looked a bit odd.
