#4, Racecars crash ever so often. Racecar crashes from a while back were much more spectacular (in a bad way) and fatal due to less safety equipment in the car and on the track. Does that explain the picture enough?

There's gota be some info, ramping off an embankement wasn't that common. IIRC it could only happen on few tracks, like Indy, AVUS or Monza oval.
