That's also on my short list but they seem to be prone to rust. Oh and it should say 300D on the trunk to keep me interested.

#2, Uhm, no. 240D may be the most popular car in africa, but in eastern Europe, some of them succumb to the tin worm. I rode in a friend's W123 280 automatic and had to be careful where I'd put my feet, as there was a hole in the floor.

I swore to my parents I'll buy myself a W123. I just love the classic feel. But these cars are getting really old and the rust on some cars... this is why I consider a W124 now, even though I don't like it as much.

These things are literally everywhere in this state. Some are rusty, some still look showroom fresh. Many look well used and are frequently driven by rednecky types who think they're awesome because they have a Mercedes.
