Well, if you guys wanna get murdered over your rustbuckets that's fine with me. If you have the means to defend yourself from an attacker of course you should do everything in your power to stop them. Personally I'd love to swap some lead upside the head of a would-be carjacker, but I'm not going to play the hero if the odds are stacked against me. When I read a story about someone getting killed trying to cling to their car or wrestle a gun away from someone I'm more inclined to think they're morons than anything else.

#21, No Polish as far as I know....I'm a combination of Dutch, Choctaw American Indian, and a little Irish and Welsh.
If I just let someone intimidate me like that, I wouldn't be able to live with it. And everyone keeps playing the "family" card....if I made a coward of myself, I wouldn't be able to look family members in the eye anymore. If they died attempting to stop a carjacking, I'd be more proud of them than anything. Ultimately, I consider life (read: the mere act of breathing) to be something of little intrinsic value. It's one of the most non-permanent things on earth, and few things are as pathetic to me as the fear-induced, blind clinging to it.
#22, So I assume everyone whose priorities differ from yours is automatically mentally inferior?

I remember someone on AR (anti-rice.com) mentioning that they blew a carjacker's hand off when they tried to steal their pickup.

Even if I had a Yugo (and gun) and for some god-only-knows reason, someone tried to steal it, I'd still probably blow their brains out :P
