#1, No, but the road itself is some sort of a multi-layer concrete surface, built by the Germans in the 1940s. It is known as Grajzeroova (the Grieser (sp?) road), it was built by Russian POWs, AFAIK. It has around 20km or so, most of which have only one lane, as the war ended before the road was finished. Now it's over 50 years old and still is in almost perfect condition. |
