Now the real question for it and all alt/propulsion cars nowadays.
Does it meet or beat ALL it's competitors in it's segment? It can't just excell in one aspect (in this case - it's greeness) and fail misserably in others (in this case - range - top speed - recharge time - even the price) 12K for a car that can't even do highway speeds. For 12K here - you could get a used or respectibly new Accent or Aveo. At least those two have back seats - can go faster than 40kph - and have a bigger range.
That's my acid test for alt/propulsion cars. If you lived within 10 city block from everything you need to sustain yourself and you're too lazy to walk to them all - get a Zenn. |

#1, basically. You seen the quality of these things?
The seats are spotwelded to the floor, there are numerous spotwelds in the chassis, the body panels are super flimsy. Yet, they costs $15k or thereabouts. |

#7, These things are so bad it's not even funny. These has the quality-or lack thereof- you would expect in a Perodua Kelisa. The wood is fake, the steering wheel edges were rough, the gaps in panel fit were horrible; it's a fucking nightmare. |

#7, Real vinylgrain
Here's an idea: real wood with a woodgrain sticker on it. |

This is why we keep the Nissan Micras away from the Clubmans. |

#2, If only by interior quality (I can say much for the exterior based on the supplied photos) - it looks 7-10 years out of date.
There could be a reason for this (weight) so it could be built to a price - still - its dash leaves a lot to be desired.
and I hate that seat fabric. It reminds me of the 90's with it's vauge and directionless pattern. |

But...it's...efficient! Or purports to be anyways, and that, unfortunately, is more than enough justification for some people to buy it. |

#17, Get about $30,000. Travel out of state. Buy two, sell one. Have a nice NSX and make a profit from the other one. :D |

What a piece. o_O They actually try to sell it in developed contries? And that price!
Seriously, start importing things like Citroen AX diesel. My sister has a 1.5l and it needs 4 liters of diesel for every 100km. 4.5-5 in city driving. It has around 60-65hp, top speed of 130-140kph and costs around 1500USD for one in decent condition.
Or a Super 5 1.6l diesel.
Or just forget old junkers and import brand spanking new 1.3 Multijet turbo diesel Pandas (Top Gear can suck a dick, these tiny engines are brilliant). |
