#4, This is probably a wholesale dealer. They receive cars that either a private owner or a dealership could not sell. Basically, wholesale dealers have the cars noone wants.
I have a few in my neighborhood and they are entertaining to visit. They prices are low but right for the quality i.e., $400 for a taurus, $800 for a van, etc.
They designed for folks who either want:
-Fixer-upper. Still not a good route.
-Their credit is extremely low and they use the care soley to build it back up.
-They can't afford anything over $1000 or so need SOMETHING to drive. They don't care if it has dents or rust.
Now if this dealership was selling these cars at huge numbers, then that's a joke. If not, no need to write stuff on the snow. Folks know what they are getting and some don't have little choice besides saving for a year or so. |

...and I have to be honest, my Mirage was from a wholesale-style dealer, every vehicle he had had problems... he had just sold a pristine newish Lincoln Town Car to an older person for under 2-grand, but that was because the overdrive was completely shot... the Mirage, well, it's obvious it had been in a serious accident at one point (even though CarFax didn't show anything to that effect, maybe it just wasn't reported), ...and he had a few other fixer-uppers on the lot.
...I mean, that said, the Mirage did last me for 3 pretty much trouble-free years. Though, it never got anywhere NEAR the EPA-estimated ~36mpg (more like 26mpg) so maybe there was always something wrong with the drivetrain, who knows. (The G20 is rated at ~24mpg, but has been getting me 26mpg) |

dude.. the cars are bought from salvage yards and hastily repaired. Every single vehicle on this lot is a fucking road hazard.
The Monte was bought from a whole sale dealer, and little known to me at the time, it had been siezed in a drug raid. To date, I have had to put in a new pass airbag, I've found random baggies in odd places, I've found extra (non stock) storage spaces, and hell I've even found a nice little storage space under the console where a nice box was made to slip contraband into. |

#33, I'd rather buy a French car than any of these deathtraps.
(assuming I could find one of course :P)
Actually, I do fancy a DS.
