Interesting find. It has Mexican plates; this car is registered in Durango (2006 or newer).

Nice, never seen any cars with Mexican plates here, but I have seen a few Canadian models such as Eagle 2000GTX's and Pontiac Fireflies. This one looks like our Versa sedan, but I think that one is based on the Clio.

Saw a Renault Clio a number of years ago around here, it was going the other direction though, but I assume it was probably from Mexico.

Interesting. The car in the picture seems to sit much higher off the ground than cars sold around here.

#4, That's odd, I've often heard that vehicles in Russia and other former members of the Soviet bloc usually had higher-riding vehicles, due to the rough nature (or complete lack) of roads in those areas...

#5, Not in our market. Dacia Logan was probably the closest we got to such a car but when I worked in Belgium I happened upon a brochure describing an even more stripped down and rugged version for eurasian markets.
The construction company I worked for got so frustrated by idiot workers breaking their cars they started to shift completely to a fleet of base-spec Logan MCVs. They were loud and rattled a bit but fuck were they fun to drive. Plus, there was almost nothing in them that a brick laying caveman could break.
