Not to mention is has an actual, non-alphabet soup name. I'm big on that.

#5, Actually, considering the, uh, "floaty" nature of the Fleetwood, "FLS" would probably be a more appropriate name.

#7, Right up until it FaiLS in the marketplace because omgomgnotsporty. :( If Lexus can still do a big relaxed luxury sedan, why can't Cadillac again?

#8, Yeah, the whole "Not sporty"="Market failure" routine is growing tiresome... it looks like Mitsubishi is trying to attempt the circumvent that with the Mirage... but it's getting [unfairly, in my opinion] derided in the automotive press before they even sample the car themselves, or in some cases, before they even see it in person.

Europe seems to be fine with making "not sporty" cars a success, such as the Dacia lineup...

#8, Because the LS isn't a car with a front bench - a column shifter - or a BOF structure.

I don't want to see future full-size Cadillac with anything on it to remind people of a Fleetwood. The name Fleetwood itself means nothing when it has to stand against the S-class.
