My parents' 2006 Saturn VUE. 250hp 3.5L Honda V6, 5 speed automatic, FWD, leather, DVD entertainment system. Not pretty but it works.

#2, I believe the Red Line has the same engine, but it's got a sportier suspension, lower center of gravity, 4 wheel discs, sportier seats, and its own wheels, bodykit and badging.

Well... I can say this, by getting a first-gen VUE, your parents got an American-designed crossover that weighs 3500lbs and has a Honda engine, versus a Korean-designed crossover that weighs 4100lbs and has a Chinese engine.

Even though, aesthetically, I prefer the 2nd-gen VUE, I feel this is probably a better vehicle in the long-run.

Take comfort in the fact that if you parents bought something like a Land Rover Freelander or BMW X5, I'd say it was a "Chelsea Tractor" :D

#6, Not in my book. I think it's sad that most of my submissions here are French cars :P

That's a pretty big and powerful car to have drums at the back.

Drums in the back are used on things MUCH heavier

I hate this car.
http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums...rs/101_1891.jpg
We've been driving it without exterior trim (left side only) or interior carpet for the past two months or so thanks to the interior leaking and pooling water. My dad diagnosed the problem as the tube running to the rear hatch wiper squirter, which came apart and dumped water in the back seat area, rusting the DVD player mounts. He thought the water was coming in through the roof rails or firewall somewhere but it was not to be. Now the Velcro squares that held the C-pillar trim on (really GM? Velcro?) have come off while driving and the car is just as big a turd as it ever was. It's the one car we've ever owned that I dislike. Oh yeah, and there's a full Vue carpet in my living room awaiting installation while we make sure the leak's stopped for good.
