Is this a replacement for the MX in their lineup, or something else entirely? When I finish destroying the Firehawks that the previous owner put on the Slowbra, I'll probably go to a wider wheel and tire combination, so this may be something to consider.
I've got Ecsta SPTs (which have a tread pattern with a pronounced center rib, like these) in 255-45R17 on the V6, and I've been very happy with them. |

Needs more heat ripples (some of you probably know what I'm talking about). |

A tire isn't properly conditioned until the edges of all the tread blocks are covered in pickup. |

Here's a stupid question:
What kind of car do you drive, Moto? |

#7, Why would marbles stick to the thread? My rally tires show slight 'rippling' of the thread if you look closely after an event, guess it's from the heat.

#8, If you drive around a circuit where a lot of other cars (including your own) are dropping rubber onto the track surface, you're constantly picking up and throwing off marbles. Heck, if it's not otherwise loud on the inside of the car, the only noise you can hear is a sound reminiscent of driving over fresh tar.
After a full day of lapping, I typically wind up with balled-up rubber stuck on the edges of the tread blocks on all four tires. Kind of like this (two sessions in the V6 car), only with more coverage.

#10, That's new to me, maybe because the only contact I've had with marbles is when I sweep them off the track and even then they are extremely soft, as they come of slicks.

I've even seen the little rubber goobers sticking to slicks. They're much more obvious on street tires, though, especially if you're actually getting some heat into the tires. It gets worse as you run later into the day; both the track surface and the tires start retaining a good bit of heat, and enough marbles build up on the track surface that you're bound to collect a bunch of 'em.
I don't know how much the accumulation differs from track to track. I've only driven at PR so far, and it has a lot of speed variation, including at least two (arguably three) severe braking zones, one of which goes into a very low speed hairpin. I haven't paid much attention, but maybe the marbles are actually staying on/near the line there.
It usually takes a week or two of regular driving for me to knock the accumulated junk off the tires. |

#12, Overe here (Tor Poznan) the goobers appear mostly during the 3 hour races and there isn't too much of them. The track is very rarely used so there's no rubber laid down on the surface. |

During the peak season, the road course at Pacific Raceways is used at least every other day. Furthermore, a good portion of that is the local driving school I use. Most of their repeat clients drive some pretty fast street cars that can really put some stress on tires under braking, etc. |
