I like 'em all, but it's hard to argue with 510 ft lbs of torque at 2800 rpm.
The biggest appeal of the GS and GSX, though, are how little attention they get compared to other GM muscle cars, even the 442. Chevelles and GTOs, much as I like them both, are overexposed to the point of just seeming obvious. These are something different. |

I really am starting to like these, and oddly enough the '70 Chevelle is growing on me too. I never really liked them up until I started finding pictures of them in non-cliche colors. I think my favorite A-bodies are the '71-'72 Chevelle SS convertibles, followed closely by the '70 Chevelle SS and the '72 Cutlass convertible. I also really like the these and comparable Skylarks as well. |

At one time, I considered the 1970 Chevelle to be a little middling, until a few years ago when I saw one in Fathom Blue with white stripes and white interior, like this one: http://www.oldtownautomobile.com/fi...Blue_731_13.jpg
It is really a matter of color on them, once you get past the all-too-common red, yellow, black, and orange. A lot of the more popular muscle cars, like 'Cudas and Chargers, are similar in that way. |
