I'm sure GT-R fanboys everywhere are crying that "Godzilla" basically finished in the middle of the pack, never earning more than third place in any individual test.

#1, im sure they are, after being beaten by a car that costs at least 3x as much and a uncompromised viper.

#2, I'm sure that's the excuse they'd use.

Keep in mind GT-R fanboys don't just argue that their favorite car is a performance value, they tend to think that it's unbeatable by just about anything....hence the uber-arrogant "Godzilla" moniker they've attached to it.

Of course, the other argument they can always fall back on is "Wait until the V-spec comes out! It'll weigh 3,000 lbs. and have 800 horsepower for less than $100,000!"

#3, the GT-R has been called godzilla for a long time now at least the R34, likely the R32, if it didn't begin way back in the 70's

i dont like it (for various reasons), but you cannot argue that its not fucking fast.

#3, Wheels magazine in Australia coined the term when they first tested the R32, so yeah, the fanboys didn't come up with it.

#1, On other forums I find myself having to defend the GT-R cuz people think its sux, folks be like OMG ZR-1 IS TEH GAWD, TEH RICE GT-R SUCKZ. Its still a damned good car in my opinion, and in this case it is matched up with comp its supposed to be with, to compare it to other "normal" car is s unfair, but when put up with supercars the playing field is level.

Love it or hate it, the GT-R is a fucking fantastic piece of kit. It's punching ridiculously above it's weight, and doing a damn good job of it. I think just the idea of the Porsche/Ferrari fanboys having to defend their cars against "just" a Nissan is testament to how awesome it is.

Also the Gallardo in that pic looks awesome.

I'll take the Viper and the DBS, then I'll sell the Viper and keep the money to maintain the DBS.

#12, After seeing how it got around the Top Gear test-track, I was completely convinced that the GT-R is not in the "pointlessly heavy bloatmobile" category like the Shelby GT500... the GT-R eats up corners as well as it eats up straightaways.
