#3, well, as we have discussed before, I'm somewhat interested in tube amplification... but not THAT interested yet. I've yet to get off my ass and get help with my tube amplified console. 60649

#4, yeah, I would start with something cheap - like a console amplifier or a Dynaco ST70. Easy to work on and they sound very good for the low entry $$$.
