#1, It's a 7-seater, so I'd have to say nay... it's designed more for Europe anyway.

Hang me, but I actually kind of like the light-up blue accents around the mirrors and door handles.

Wow, way bigger than it looks. Wait a sec...7-seater? Isn't that what the Arcadia's for?

Time to lurk around GMI again.

#5, Like I said, this is designed for Europe... where relatively-compact 7-seater SUVs have become quite popular. The Acadia in comparison is ginormous.

So this is kinda like their answer to the Flex, albeit for Euro markets? I've actually become more fond of those particular crossovers, even though I think the market is far too saturated, espescially with Ford offering 3 crossovers with the exact same drive train marketed towards the same demographic.

#13, Toyota and their RAV4, Venza, Highlander, and Sienna would like to remind everyone that the Japanese can be just as stupid with model oversaturation, too. :)

#14, A couple months ago I picked up a Car and Driver (or was it Motor Trend?) that had a good article regarding the Flex, it had a few funny paragraphs, I wish I knew where I put it.

But it seems that after Ford lost out to Chrysler in the minivan contingent, and GM in the SUV area (GM had 60-62 percent of the 3/4 million SUVs sold last year...a flagging segment but still profitable). They decided to spend most of their resources in Crossovers...and it shows.

Am I alone in thinking that the Flex looks like a giant 1st-gen Scion xB?

#16, Honestly, if it was de-badged and didn't have the 3-bar grille when I first saw it, I'd have definitely thought it was some kind of import.

#17, They do, you just have to dismiss the negativity associated with them and get out of the "Hurr Toyotas r bettar" mindset.

#18, I have always had difficulty believing Toyotas were ever "bettar".

But come on, look what happened to most of Ford's car models. Many were great when they came out but then Ford kind of forgot about them, or they fell victim to a horrendous redesign.

#19, I was just generally speaking about the "Toyota=bettar" thing, most people seem to want to believe that Japan is waaaaaaaay ahead of domestic auto makers...but i don't have to tell you that.

And yeah, the Focus redesign, the Five Hundred/Taurus fiasco, and the flaming exhausts on F250 diesels among many (MANY) other things have had us scratching our heads. But I see promise with Ford, maybe I'm crazy.
